The Ecological Farm Krishna´s Court

In the picturesque valley near the lake there is a 40 hectare-area with a former agricultural estate which devotees began to transform into an ecological farm known as Krishna´s court in 1990. Today, there is about 15 full-time devotees practicing Krishna consciousness in accordance with a formula simple living high thinking. They tend to seven cows and three horses. The whole farm is ruled over by two great princes Sri Sri Gaura Nitai. The natural environment of the whole project is amplified by the loud screaming of the colorful peacocks. Devotees grow four kinds of grain, potatoes, peas, vegetables and fruit. Somewhat special in this project, we find a stone mill in which the grain is grinded and the resultant good flour is sold out to different shops. The farm organizes various caterings too, and there is a street distribution of prasadam, runned by the farm matajis.

The succesful agricultural activity attracts many guests throughout the year. Students from agricultural schools often come for excursions. In summer, the wonderful pada-yatra is setting for it´s journey from the farm, pulled by two beautiful Hungarian bulls. The carriage travells through the Czech villages.

Cakra Lutotin – The Nama Hatta Centre

In a small village in the South Moravia, the Nama-hattis have acquired a nice, spacious house with a conjoined large orchard and a garden which was reformed into a small Sridham Mayapur. Every weekend, fifty devotees get together to chant Hare Krishna and hear the philosophy. They serve together, organize festivals, go on harinamas and glorify the Lord. There is also a small weekend Gurukula, available for devotees´ children. They learn verses, play theatre, make paintings and learn to play in Krishna consciousness.

By the mercy of Krishna, all these nice projects are developing in the Czech yatra. Devotees come with still more courageous ideas how to expand, and they look for inspired persons who would be caught on or attracted to one of the activities they are doing and who would help or support them by whatever means they can.
