About The Deities

The Sri Sri Nitai Navadvipacandra Deities were first installed in 1993 in Prague – Modrany, where the temple was originally situated since 1991. Sri Sri Nitai Navadvipacandra Deities were carved in Mayapur for Jaya Gurudeva Prabhu during Communist era. He wished They will come to the future Czech temple. He worshiped Them for years in Austria and in 1990 after democratic change in Eastern bloc he brought Them with him to Czech Republic. They were installed in the first temple in Modrany and later moved to Zlicin and now moved to Lužce 48, 267 18, Karlštejn.

The Lords of the Prague Sri Sri Nitai Navadvipacandra mandir are being taken care of by a team of relentless pujaris, cooks, designers, tailors and gardeners. Everyday, the whole temple and asramas are cleaned carefully and the deities are nicely decorated. The deities daily receive fresh garlands and flower decoration throughout the spring until the fall season.
